This site consists of my restoration/repair work and my personal collection of gear.
Hewitt's Garage Studio is the moniker where I persue my passion for restoration/repair of vintage gear and my creative outlet for builds. On occasion I do loan or rent out gear for photoshoots and production use.
All work is done on my timeline. As a personal rule I won't not undertake any project I'm not sure I can handle. My primary goal is to keep vintage gear in use and out of the scrap heap by providing an affordable avenue for repair and assistance to musicians here in the DFW metroplex.
In addition to restoration and repairs, I also build a lot of original equipment under the "Hewitt's Garage Studio" name. These are generally personal works built in my garage for myself, friends, and select clients. Most are vintage recreations, but there have been more than a few custom projects. At times the sale of some of these builds fund other projects and acquisitions.
Plain and simple, I do this because I love it.
