This is a conglomeration of parts I had.
A 70's kay SG body was customized to take a modified 70's tenor banjo neck.
Kay used the same standard single coil pickups in all their SG models of the time, so these were retained.
A new neck plate was made and the guitar was refinished in a sparkle brown laquor.
A new pickguard was cut from a Lyle SG pattern.
An old Gibson bigsby was fitted.
After using the Chet Atkins style handle on the Silvertone, there was no going back.
The neck isn't as stable as I would like, but this is due to the fact it has no truss rod. It is "steel reinforced" which does help.
It plays and sounds fantastic.
