The Fender ECC 501 echo was produced from 1963-65. This was Fenders entry into transistorized processing equipment. A redesigned Fender echo was put into production in 1966 to match Fenders new line of transistor amps, but was retired in 1967. The internal circuit on the 1967 model is identical.
The pots on this one all date to the 38th week of 1963.

2012-01-01: As usual I replace the rca output jack with a standard 1/4. Replaced all the capacitors. Upgraded the caps in the power filter to cut down noise. New tape loop, align and cleaned the heads and transport path. Fully clean the uni and upgraded the power cord to a grounded cord.
