This was a wreck of a project, but all of the original electronics were there and intact. What can I say I'm a sucker for a triple dearmond gold foil guitar.

The body was cracked beyond repair so I had to locate another. After repairing the electronics I transferred them to the new body. After sourcing a few missing parts, it was time to make the old red neck match the new body. I sanded and refinished the neck in a bust and made a correct white on black headstock logo. After the neck was finished it was aged to match the wear on the body. Added a new bone nut and it was ready to play.

With all the work that went into it I think it turned out great.

2020-01-03: The body was cracked beyond repair, but luckily I was able to pickup an original burst h59 body and Bigsby vibrato tailpiece.

2020-01-29: The original white switches for the pickup control are non existent or just ridiculously priced. Switchcraft doesn't make the re-pop one any more. but I found a guitar shop in the UK that still had some old stock.

2020-02-10: With one missing volume knob and people trying to charge 30$ and up for vintage ones, I decided to buy a repop knob and distress it. The volume and tone set new repop was under 10$.

2020-02-14: Until it was all wired up and I was refitting the neck I didn't even notice the pick guard bracket was missing.
