1973-5 Epiphone FT-570BL Year: 1973-5 Brand: Epiphone Model: FT-570BL Class: Guitar Owner: Manzy Lowry
Status: SOLD
Beautiful Vintage Epiphone Sheraton FL570 bl jumbo from the 1970s. The FL570 models were made in Japan from 1973-79. This serial number was on a sticker on the back of the headstock, like alot this one has lost its sticker over time. The bl stands for blonde finish, and it's beautiful. Generally the blonde and natural models receive the nicest choice of woods, as wood cuts with defects are easier to conceal with a burst finish. This was Epiphone's jumbo 1970's answer to their parent Gibson's j200. Fully bound body/neck, decorative pfurling, block inlays, rosewood fret board, 3 piece birch neck, spruce top, maple back and sides.
2023-12-01: The neck and heel on this one were separating when I got the guitar, the repair wasn't to hard. I installed a Journey ep001k soundboard pickup, a new bone nut and bridge to replace the original plastic ones.
