The Bassjo was born from Bret's mind and a couple of websites he flew by. Bret showed up at my place with a conglomeration of parts and wanted to put them together. I helped him sort out the "how to" stuff; Neck Angle, Wiring, Neck Bracket, and Bridge. A fender coranado tail peice was used, perfect the design of this thing. I hand carved a bridge, and we were playing. A combination of peizo and magnetic pickups were used. I left the controls simple with a volume for each and a single tone knob. Bret had Mikey cut a custom headstock decal.
The Theater Fire borrowed the bassjo for a while playing live and recording with it.
