I retrofit these old school styled chrome microphones in a few different ways. I can upgrade the stock element to a Shure 58 Beta, or I can leave them with the stock element which sounds pretty good. I then redo the stock foam windscreens with custom colored mic silk and add phantom powered led effects. This one retained the stock element but upgraded the switch wiring, fitted with a fine black mesh and multiple layers of white silk to really set off the color changing phantom powered Led effects.
